Blanson Cte High School’s regular student population is 1,350 with a student-teacher ratio of 17.9 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Davis H S Aldine is 3,157 students and a student-teacher ratio of 16.6 students/teacher ratio.
Blanson Cte High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Blanson Cte High School's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Davis H S Aldine did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Blanson Cte High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 84.37% of student population, followed by African Americans (11.04%), Asians (2.59%), Whites or Caucasians (1.26%), Two or More Races (0.37%) and Native Americans (0.30%).
At Davis H S Aldine, Hispanics make up 66.14% of student population, followed by African Americans (28.79%), Asians (2.44%), Whites or Caucasians (1.33%), Two or More Races (0.79%) and Native Americans (0.35%).
Based on household incomes, the Blanson Cte High School’s economically disadvantaged students is lower at 87.70% compared to 88.03% at Davis H S Aldine.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Blanson Cte High School has 157 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 11.63% of student population. Davis H S Aldine has significantly more ELLs at 852 or about 26.99% of student population.
Blanson Cte High School’s bilingual students comprise 11.56%, gifted and talented students, 13.11%, while 2.15% are in the special education program. Davis H S Aldine bilingual students comprise 26.29%, gifted and talented students, 5.38%, and 7.82% are in the special education program.
