Distinction Designations for Blackland Prairie Elementary School and Pond Springs Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Blackland Prairie Elementary School. They make up for 56.67% of student population, followed by Hispanics (22.76%), Asians (12.56%), Two or More Races (4.55%), African Americans (3.14%) and Native Americans (0.16%).
The student population at Pond Springs Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 50.88%, followed by Hispanics (26.10%), Two or More Races (9.65%), African Americans (6.80%), Asians (6.14%) and Native Americans (0.22%).
Based on household incomes, the Blackland Prairie Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 8.95% compared to 21.49% at Pond Springs Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Blackland Prairie Elementary School has a higher number of English Language Learners comprising 7.06% of its student population compared to 8.55% at Pond Springs Elementary School.
In addition, Blackland Prairie Elementary School has 6.44% bilingual students, 6.44% are in the gifted and talented program, while 8.16% are in the special education program.
