Beckendorff Junior High School bagged all seven distinction awards in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Asians comprise the biggest group at Beckendorff Junior High School. They make up for 35.25% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (31.18%), Hispanics (20.59%), African Americans (8.09%), Two or More Races (4.65%) and Native Americans (0.17%).
The student population at Cinco Ranch Junior High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 35.21%, followed by Hispanics (29.30%), Asians (23.40%), African Americans (8.50%), Two or More Races (3.37%) and Native Americans (0.14%).
Based on household incomes, the Beckendorff Junior High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 18.50% compared to 28.74% at Cinco Ranch Junior High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Beckendorff Junior High School has 175 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 10.18% of student population.
