Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Crockett Elementary School's three out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science and post-secondary. Banuelos Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Banuelos Elementary School. They make up for 59.16% of student population, followed by African Americans (20.79%), Whites or Caucasians (13.72%), Two or More Races (3.64%), Asians (2.14%) and Native Americans (0.32%).
At Crockett Elementary School, Hispanics make up 68.65% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (14.51%), African Americans (13.06%), Two or More Races (1.74%), Asians (1.31%) and Native Americans (0.73%).
Based on household incomes, the Banuelos Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 66.35% compared to 72.86% at Crockett Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Banuelos Elementary School has a higher number of English Language Learners comprising 22.62% of its student population compared to 30.19% at Crockett Elementary School.
Banuelos Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 22.19%, gifted and talented students, 7.40%, while 10.93% are in the special education program. Crockett Elementary School bilingual students comprise 29.90%, gifted and talented students, 7.40%, and 10.30% are in the special education program.
