Both schools garnered only five distinction designations or awards for outstanding performance. For Attucks Middle School these are in Mathematics, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps while Stevenson Middle School secured in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science, Social Studies, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Attucks Middle School. They make up for 65.66% of student population, followed by Hispanics (30.83%), Two or More Races (1.75%), Whites or Caucasians (1.00%), Asians (0.25%) and Native Americans (0.25%).
At Stevenson Middle School, Hispanics make up 90.87% of student population, followed by African Americans (4.60%), Asians (3.41%), Whites or Caucasians (0.71%), Two or More Races (0.24%) and Native Americans (0.08%).
Based on household incomes, Attucks Middle School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 96.99% compared to 91.59% at Stevenson Middle School.
