Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Adam Elementary School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, with Hamilton Elementary School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Adam Elementary School has a regular student population of 804 with a 10.7 students/teacher ratio while Hamilton Elementary School has 1,058 students and a student-teacher ratio of 17.8 students/teacher ratio.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Adam Elementary School’s three out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science and with 25% student progress. Hamilton Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Adam Elementary School. They make up for 46.52% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (26.24%), African Americans (12.31%), Asians (9.08%), Two or More Races (5.10%) and Native Americans (0.50%).
At Hamilton Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 54.44% of student population, followed by Hispanics (21.08%), African Americans (10.11%), Asians (10.02%), Two or More Races (4.06%) and Native Americans (0.28%).
Based on household incomes, Adam Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 71.52% compared to 22.40% at Hamilton Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Adam Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 24.00% of its student population compared to 7.94% at Hamilton Elementary School.
In addition, Adam Elementary School has 23.51% bilingual students, 2.61% are in the gifted and talented program, while 14.18% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Hamilton Elementary School with 7.56% bilingual students, 10.87% gifted and talented students and 11.72% students in the special education program.
