New to the area or just not sure what to eat in Mont Belvieu? Or maybe you are out house hunting and not sure where to stop? There are several options in Mont Belvieu and I have not listed all of the ones I frequent. I did want to give you a little variety and mention a few you might have forgotten about for the next time you just cant decide what to eat.

Lunch with the girls

The Little Mustard Seed Tearoom

When you get tired of fast food and want something a little lighter The Little Mustard Seed Tearoom might be just what you are looking for. Its a great place to grab soup, sandwiches, and salad. They also have some yummy dessert options. Personally Im a fan of the chicken salad but you can find your own personal favorite. If you arent sure what you want they have an option for finger sandwiches where you get a variety. Another plus in my book, they are locally owned.

Quick Lunch or Dinner

Tonys BBQ and Steakhouse

Ok, Ill admit I have never ordered a steak but I have sampled plenty of their other offerings. My favorite...the turkey baked potato. Its a large serving that honestly I rarely finish but Im not afraid of leftovers. I just order the sauce on the side. This isnt to say I dont enjoy the brisket, chicken, and sausage (not saying anything else is not good these are just my go to meats) because I do. Lets not forget sides. Im a fried okra girl myself but the rest of the sides are good too. Tonys is a great option for busy day when you dont have time to cook but just dont want fast food.

Tex-Mex

Iguana Joes

This might be a given but I thought it was worth mentioning. I usually go with carne guisada or fajitas but honestly Ive never had a meal I didnt like. One of my daughters orders pollo loco almost exclusively while my other half has been on a beef quesadilla kick lately. All of this to say there is nothing I would say to avoid. Weve never had a bad experience here.

Asian/Japanese

Shogun

If you want a fun dining experience for the family then Shogun really is the place to go. The whole family enjoys hibachi so its a nice way to get out of the house, have some fun, and really enjoy the dinner experience. Of course you can also sit at a table or booth and grab some sushi or even a bento box if you want a bit of variety.

Paradise Cafe

If you want Asian food but are in a hurry the drive through at Paradise Cafe is a great option. To me it isnt good unless I like the egg rolls and Ive never had a bad egg roll here. The house lo mein is a must for one of my girls (shes 22 but still my girl). This is another good option for picking up dinner for the family when you want something better than fast food. The serving sizes are pretty large so we often buy several meals and serve family style so everyone can have a variety.
