What Buyers Agents Wish Sellers Did for Showings


-I wish sellers left like at least 5-10 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. Its not fun when you are waiting on the sellers to back out of the driveway so you can pull in for your appointment. Seller/buyer run ins never create a good vibe. 

-I wish sellers turned their lights and lamps on. Speaking of light, PLEASE open your blinds, curtains, window treatments, etc. A lot of times, we are showing consecutive houses so showing up at the same time as the buyer and do not have time to get in and turn on all of the lights.

-Close your toilet lids! This one bothers me so much, such a simple, effective thing you can do to prep for showings.

-Of course, wed wish all homes were professionally staged and ready to go.. but that is not always the case, so if you do anything, please clear off your bathroom and kitchen countertops so we can see the space. 

-Work on the smell! Dont cook fish or something else that stinks before a showing- SMELLS MATTER!

-Cut your yard, manicure your landscaping! Curb appeal and how the backyard appear really do matter. Buyers want to love the outdoor space as much as they do the indoor space!

-Please be accomodating with showings. You have to show to sell Do what you can to approve the showing requests that come in, most of the time, the window is small that we can coordinate schedules with the buyers... so accepting our first showing request, helps a lot and sets the tone for a good transaction.
