Hi friend! I am so excited you found our little corner of the Interwebs. In today's post I will answering the question, "What are the best neighborhoods on Lake Conroe?" I plan to deep dive, and also share the price point of each neighborhood with you as well. For those of you that don't know, Lake Conroe is a 21,000-acre lake in Montgomery County, Texas. Even though it is named Lake Conroe, only a small portion of the lake is in Conroe, Texas. Most of the lake is in unincorporated Montgomery County. Lake Conroe is dominated by open water in the lower two-thirds of the reservoir, with some standing timber still present along the river channel in the upper reaches. Most of the standing timber is slightly submerged when the lake is at conservation pool, making navigation hazardous in these areas. Bulkheads with boat docks dominate the shore in the lower reservoir; the upper reservoir (the portion lying within the Sam Houston National Forest) is primarily featureless shoreline.   If you like to fish, Lake Conroe is known for being an excellent place to find largemouth bass, catfish, hybrid striped bass, and bluegill, with some crappie swimming around as well. Why: Location, proximity to The Woodlands, Conroe, and thanks to the highway systems you can get just about anywhere in Houston with an easy commute. 
Amenities: Premier country club community,  access security gate, three parks, a pavilion,  community marquee, "Brewington Gardens" and multiple social community clubs exclusive to April Sound residents.

3. Walden | Homes range in the $170s - $1m | Homes for Sale.

Where: Montgomery, TX. Located off of TX HWY 105 and just above April Sound, on the south portion of Lake Conroe.
Why: Location, proximity to The Woodlands, Conroe, and thanks to the highway systems you can get just about anywhere in Houston with an easy commute. The variety of home types as well as commercial and institutional facilities.

Where: Conroe, TX. Located off of FM 149, on the south east shore of Lake Conroe. Just below FM 830 and access off League Line Rd and 4 miles west of  I-45, 
Why: Location, proximity to The Woodlands, Conroe, and thanks to the highway systems you can get just about anywhere in Houston with an easy commute. Smaller 50 lot/home gated community, waterfront or inland options. 
Amenities: Gated community, small community feel, inland or waterfront options, water access, custom homes, deep water perfect for boating, exclusive community feel.

Where: Montgomery, TX. Located off of TX HWY 105, on the south west shorelines of Lake Conroe.

Why: Location, proximity to The Woodlands, Conroe, and accessible to the highway systems. Nestled into a point, Cape Malibu offers a secluded feel whilst still being accessible.

20. Waterford Estates | Homes range in the $300s - $1m | Homes for Sale.

Where: Conroe, TX. Located on the south shore of Lake Conroe, it is centrally located on the shore. Right off of HWY 105.
Why: 
Location, proximity to The Woodlands, Conroe. New Construction options. . Waterfront availability. . Proximity to The Woodlands Mall, Market Street. Water lots. Variety in home type (modern, traditional, etc). Quick access to highways, shopping, dining. Large lots sizes.
