What is the market doing? 2021 edition.


"This is CRAZY!  It's a buyer's AND seller's market AT THE SAME TIME??"  How can this be??

  1. Number ONE reason: Record low interest rates on mortgages.  Today (1-13), 2.5% is common.  And I have seen LOWER even.  Are you renting?  Do you know you can own a house for less than you pay in rent?  This is why it's so great to be a buyer right now.  Never in the history of the world has it made more sense to buy.
  2. Number TWO reason: What about selling?  Well, all these buyers that are wising up to it's time to take advantage of these low rates are SNATCHING up every house on the market.  We have 2-3 months of inventory (MAX) on the market right now.  Does it make sense to sell?  Yes!
  3. Number THREE reason: Buyers and sellers both are finding out their homes are not the right fit for them anymore.  TONS of movement around town, and TONS of people migrating to Houston.  

I have been in two different economic forecasts so far this year, and they are nothing but upward pressure on the housing market.  In fact, I met with my lender of choice, James Beaver, this morning.  He showed me a graph that we are on track to be THREE TIMES as busy this January than last.  THREE TIMES!

ALL OF THIS BEING SAID...YOU NEED A GOOD REALTOR ON YOUR SIDE IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO ANY MOVING THIS YEAR, OR NEXT, OR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.  I'M HERE TO BE THAT PERSON, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO REACH OUT.
