Purchasing a home with your Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher is very easy and affordable.  The Housing Choice Voucher homeownership program allows families that are assisted under the HCV program to use their voucher to buy a home and receive monthly assistance in meeting homeownership expenses. Your Section 8 Voucher will help pay your mortgage for 15-30 years and possibly until the home is paid for.  Tenants will typically pay 30 percent of their monthly income towards the mortgage and the voucher will cover the rest.
