Safety Tip: GFCI Receptacles

Most homes have GFCI receptacles installed in kitchens, bathrooms, and garages.  To ensure your GFCI receptacles are providing your home the proper protection, please follow the below tips:   GFCI receptacles should be tested MONTHLY to ensure they are in proper working order.  The receptacle can be tested utilizing its test button function. GFCI receptacles have a service life, and are recommended to be replaced every TEN years.
