Are you planning on buying a home in Houston Texas or elsewhere in the United States? If so, like most people you may be wondering when is the best time to buy a home because the real estate market has been volatile for the last year and you may have been waiting to buy a home until market conditions have improved.

Although what’s happening in the real estate market is important, you should still consider buying a home especially for the following reasons:

#1 – You’re Getting Married

Buying a home before getting married is a smart decision to make because you will be able to start life with your new spouse in a home that you actually own, build memories, build equity, and ultimately sell the home within 5 years and move onto your forever home.

#2 – You’re Starting A Family

Starting a family is also another excellent reason to buy a home because when you add another member to your family, you’re going to need more space. Besides space, it’s also going to be nice to own your own home especially if it has a front and back yard for your child to enjoy as they grow up.

#3 – You’ve Reached Midlife

If you’re in your 40’s or 50’s, there’s a strong chance that you also have older parents who may be in their early to mid-’70s. Since elder care can b every expensive in this day and age, you should consider purchasing a home with an in-law suite or granny flat because this will make caring for your elderly loved ones or parents easier.

#4 – Your Kids Have Grown Up

Last of all, another great reason to buy a home is when your children have grown up and moved out of your current house. In this case, you’re now know known as an “empty nester” and this is a great time to sell your home because you can free yourself of that big house and move into a home with a lot less space or things to maintain.
