I. Thou shalt not change jobs or become self-employed.  

II. Thou shalt not buy a car, truck, or van (unless you plan on living in it).  

III. Thou shalt not use your credit cards excessively or let your payments fall behind.   

IV. Thou shalt not spend the money you have saved for your down payment.  

V. Thou shalt not buy furniture before you close on your home.  

VI. Thou shalt not apply for any credit which adds new inquiries on your credit report.  

VII. Thou shalt not make any large deposits into your bank account.  

VIII. Thou shalt not change bank accounts.  

IX. Thou shalt not co-sign for anyone.  

X. Thou shalt not purchase anything before closing.
