Spring and the Easter Bunny are just a hop away already. The Woodlands is a great place for kids ages 1-99 to have a lot of fun throughout the year. This March is no exception, with both St. Patrick’s Day and Easter being celebrated at this time of year. Even though Easter is on April 1st, there are plenty of family-friendly events planned throughout March. Join in the fun and invite your families, friends and neighbors.

Grab your favorite bit o’the green, in a shirt, pants, dress or even your dancing shoes, and get ready for the 2nd Annual Woodlands Shamrock Shindig on St Patrick’s Day. This event will be held March 17th from 11am to 11pm at the Town Green Park. All ages are welcome and will be entertained by live music along with plenty of fun kids’ activities. It wouldn’t be an Irish shindig without Irish dancers, Bagpipers, food trucks and of course green beer; don’t worry, they’ll all be there.

For the wee ones on March 17th, head over to The Woodlands Children’s Museum where you can watch Irish dancers as well as Juggler Claude Sims. Your children will enjoy all the fun activities in the museum as well as the live entertainment to celebrate the day. Admission is $6 for adults and children over the age of one.

Bring your Easter basket and a flashlight to Terramont Park on Friday, March 23rd from 7:45pm-9:15pm, where the whole family can experience the Flashlight Egg Hunt. This event includes an egg hunt in the dark, a visit from the Easter Bunny as well as a snack. Pre-registration is required beforehand, but don’t delay as this type of family-friendly event in The Woodlands tends to fill up quickly. Entry fee is $15 per child for residents, $20 per child for non-residents, and there is a $5 sibling discount.

A special Brunch with the Bunny will take place at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming, March 24th from 10am-11:30am. Have breakfast with the Easter Bunny and go on an egg hunt. Bring a basket for your eggs and your camera to get some fun photos of the kids with the Easter Bunny. Pre-registration is also required for this community event. A family of four is $40 for residents, $45 for non-residents and $8 per additional family member.

After Breakfast with the Bunny, stay at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming for a special crafting activity: To Dye For – Egg Decorating with a Twist.  This workshop runs from 12pm-1:30pm on the 24th. Get in some fun egg decorating, and if you miss the morning egg hunt or the Easter Bunny, not to worry, there’ll be another fun hunt and the kids can still visit with the Easter Bunny. Pre-registration is required for this event as well, admission is $20 for residents, $25 for non-residents and there is a $5 sibling discount.

You can make it a full day at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming on March 24th. From 4:00 pm- 5:30 pm, there will be an Egg Adventure - featuring a Scavenger Hunt. Children ages 6-12 will enjoy an adventure which takes them around the Center building as they follow clues and search for a prize. There will also be other activities including crafts, field games and a snack. Pre-registration is required. Admission is $20 for residents, $25 for non-residents and there is a $5 sibling discount.

Get the Easter weekend started right with EggTivities at The Woodlands Children’s Museum on March 30th and March 31st from 10am-2pm. Children will enjoy Easter related arts and crafts such as egg dying, making bunny masks, decorating egg carton baskets or a bunny box to carry eggs. The Easter Bunny is expected to be there for a special appearance too, so be sure to bring your cameras. Admission is $6 for adults and children over the age of one.

If you can’t make all the Easter fun activities, or just want even more, you can also have Lunch with the Bunny on March 30th from 12pm-1:30pm. This family-friendly event will be at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park. Enjoy lunch with the Easter Bunny, an Easter craft and an egg hunt. Advance registration is required. A family of 4 is $40 for residents, $45 for non-residents and $8 for additional family members.
