Lindale Park is a cool little pocket of homes just east of the the Heights. It is in the Near Northside neighborhood, straddling Irvington Ave., just inside the 610 N Loop.
The attached pdf gives a description of the neighborhood, location, age and style of homes, market conditions and more.
Would you like Lindale Park? That's not easy to answer. Start by reading my Neighborhood Snapshot PDF
For a more in depth look at this neighborhood see my Heights Blog Page on Lindale Park.
I have recommended Lindale for years; even more so now that the light rail is running. If you work downtown, or like downtown activities, it is perfect for you. Just hop on the train and you are there in minutes.
The 1940's brick cottages are like miniature West U homes. Wide, curbed streets add to the appeal.
Lindale has a strong Civic Association, is deed restricted and has strong sense of comunity. Pride of ownership shows in the neighborhood.
The drawbacks? It is a small neighborhood, and somewhat isolated. No nearby shopping. I believe this will cahnge now with the train. Fulton St. (where the train is) shows promise of transformation.
So...you have to visit to decide if you would want to live here. There are typically few homes for sale, so buying here is not easy.
