Katy High School Bengal Brigade & Cheerleaders Host Football 101

I pass by the Katy Fire Department quite often these days.  We’re making a move to old Katy so there’s lots of trips over there.  The sign out front always has something interesting.  Today’s sign was worth taking a pic.  It read "Football 101 Clinic For Women".  They are promoting an event this week to prepare the ladies for the upcoming football season.

Yes, it’s about time for some football, so next week the Katy Bengal Brigade and Cheerleaders are hosting a clinic for the ladies who want to know more about the game.  The football clinic will be conducted by the KHS football coaches who will present the rules of the game, discuss equipment, and conclude with a Q&A with Coach Joseph.  The event will also include a tailgate party and silent auction.

The Tigers have a long-standing tradition of excellence in football.  They were the state football champs in 1959, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2007, 2008, and 2012.  Katy is looking to add another championship this year.

The clinic will be held at the KHS West Cafeteria and Field House at 6:00 p.m. on August 8th.  The cost is $25 and all proceeds go to support the Katy Bengal Brigade and Cheerleaders.  For more information go to www.KHSKBBC.com .
