Mortgage Relief Plan

The mortgage relief plan allows eligible homeowners who are at risk of loan default to reduce their mortgage interest to as low as 2% for five years.  Sadly, only about 4 percent of the 760,000 homeowners who have applied have been granted reprieve. Lenders blame this poor statistic on the borrowers who do not return necessary paperwork. This has proved to be another setback for the government’s effort to limit the foreclosure rate.  Next idea...anyone?
