A Trip to Westin Home Builders New Design Center

I have had so far a very good experience with Westin Home Builders.  I took my first time home buyer clients to view their model home in Barton Ridge in Eagle Springs after they had viewed DR Horton and Lennar in the Eagle Springs area.  There homes were in the $220k range and that is without any extras.
Which means there are some added costs to their base price.  I showed my clients homes by Westin in
Summerwood that could be built in Eagle Springs and after viewing 4 they chose the Tuscany an beautiful home with a sweeping staircase that is center pieced with a dome ceiling, two story living area
with bookcase cut outs, art niches, butler pantry, granite and stainless steel kitchen.  Their idea of a dream home.
My clients were trying to keep their dream homes price under $255k so I suggested that they make a
have to have list and a we can DIY later list.  This helped them immensely, they used part of the incentive money that the builder gave towards adding the media room an added cost of  $8500 and chose a nice brick for the standard elevation which was included in the base price.  I went with my clients down to the new Westin Home Design Center in Sugarland it was just newly opened an sooo impressive.  There we found beautiful kitchen displays, tile layed on the floor in different pattern layouts, tons of floor, wall and decorator tiles to choose from.  And at least 3 cabinet makers with more than 50 choices to chose from.  The one draw back is that there are so many beautiful things on display that it makes you have a hard time sticking to your budget. to see their choices go to:

I must say that my clients did an amazing job and asked really great questions to me that I gave the best anwsers for their situation.  After picking out their choices next was the home Theatre and Security System choices which they ended up getting mostly prewired so they can buy their own theatre sound and have some security companywire in there equipment a savings of $5000. ADP will install equipment for a $99 contract an you can get home theatre systems alot cheaper than that.  After that we broke for lunch for an hour and then met back and went over other things like plumbing exterior/interior doors and once we finished that we met with the Builder and went over the house plans making sure it was exactly how they wanted it.  Good thing we did as they didn't have a few of the things that they wanted added to the structure. The entire day was 9-4 and well worth it, and I feel fun for my buyers.

Westin is breaking ground this week and they will be hopefully in their beautiful new home by March.
