I recently had the opportunity to invest in Real Estate, in Houston, Texas. As an investor, I was apprehensive and filled with questions. What strategy should I use? How should I protect myself from potential risks? After doing some research - I have learned a few key lessons about investing in Real Estate.

The most important lesson that I learned is that it's essential to develop relationships with people in the Real Estate business. This includes agents, lenders, inspectors, renovation contractors, lawyers – anyone you will come into contact with while making or managing an investment. Treat your contacts with respect and value their expertise – they will be your best resource when faced with Real Estate decisions.

The second lesson I learned is that relationships are not just important, they can make or break an investment. Real Estate investments involve many people – agents, lenders, renovators and more – all of whom must work together in order for the investment to be successful. A strong relationship between all parties involved ensures that everyone gets what they need from the transaction. It also helps prevent disputes and misunderstandings, which can lead to costly delays or even a complete failure of the Real Estate venture.

Finally, it's essential to understand the local Real Estate market before investing. Houston Real Estate is unique compared to other Real Estate markets in the country – with different laws, regulations and practices. It's important to do your research and understand the local Real Estate market before making any decisions. This includes understanding zoning laws, deed restrictions, neighborhood characteristics, and more.

Overall, investing in Real Estate can be a rewarding experience if done correctly. By developing relationships with people in Real Estate and doing your research on the local Real Estate market – you'll create a successful Real Estate investment plan and get the best return on your investment. Good luck!
