Many in the United States will celebrate Memorial Day with an exclusive shopping sale, or a relatively flippant Happy Memorial Day! when addressing someone. For lots of families with U.S. Military members, especially generationally, this is not a celebration in the traditional sense. Its a day to honor those who have lost their lives in service. Their service to our country, themselves, and our families. To the cause. It takes an extremely strong individual to weather all of the elements, the death, the destruction of war. Some are forever changed physically. Some (read most) are forever changed mentally. This Memorial Day, take a moment to recognize what most dont ever think of...someone lost their life willingly to provide and keep freedom for you. We are all connected in one way or another. If you dont believe that, check out this link to six degrees of separation. It may blow your mind!
To all who have fought and lost the battle, you did not do so in vein. You are appreciated. Your dedication is appreciated. Take care in the afterlife. Take care of your families and yourselves. Have honor in your approach.
