Astronaut Clayton Anderson Appearance & Book Signing

Join us for an out-of-this-world experience! Celebrate 50 years since the Apollo 11 Moon Landing and meet retired Astronaut Clayton Anderson at FUNdamentally Toys, Sunday, July 28, 3-5 pm. Anderson will be signing copies of his fantastic children’s book, “A is for Astronaut: Blasting through the Alphabet.” Kids and adults alike will find him fun, engaging and eager to chat and answer questions about his life as an astronaut. Plus you can take photos with Clayton! “A is for Astronaut: Blasting through the Alphabet” is Anderson’s first children’s picture book. He takes readers on a journey through space from A-Z and what it means to be a “final frontier” explorer. With striking illustrations by Scott Brundage, and sidebar explanations regarding space, this book will have all ages reaching for the stars! PREORDER A COPY NOW online or stop in-store. Anderson, retired from astronaut life now, spent 167 days in outer space having lived and worked on the International Space Station (ISS) and participated in nearly 40 hours of spacewalks. It was the Apollo 11 Moon Landing that inspired him to become an astronaut. He has previously written “The Ordinary Spaceman: From Boyhood Dreams to Astronaut” (University of Nebraska Press, 2015), and “It’s a Question of Space: An Ordinary Astronaut’s Answers to Sometimes Extraordinary Questions.”
