With a career spanning over three decades, I've dedicated myself to the world of real estate, driven by a passion for helping individuals find their perfect homes. It all began back in May 1989, when I embarked on my journey as a leasing agent in Galveston, aiming to support my college education. It was during those early days that I honed my skills in the art of persuasion, earning the nickname of being able to "sell a tent on the beach," as one of my clients fondly put it. Rapidly ascending the ranks, by the age of 21, I found myself managing a small community on the south side of Houston. It was in this role that I discovered my true calling. The fulfillment of assisting individuals in finding their place to call home resonated deeply with me, and it became evident that real estate was more than just a jobit was my career path. In 1997, I obtained my real estate license and transitioned into selling homes with Etheredge Real Estate in Texas City. Under the guidance of Bill Etheredge, a mentor and exemplary broker, I flourished. Bill instilled in me not only a love for commercial real estate but also emphasized the importance of fundamental principles such as honesty, consistency, and hard work. Despite the evolution of the industry over the years, these timeless values remain the cornerstone of my approach to real estate. While my journey led me back to property management for a brief period, my heart has always been in helping individuals navigate the process of purchasing their dream homes. I was born in Missouri, and relocated with my family to the Houston/Clear Lake area as a child. I have 2 children who attended school in CCISD and 1 grandchild. My daughter/granddaughter live in a nearby community and my son is in the U.S. Navy.

I pursued a career in the multi family industry shortly after graduating, and spent 15 years working my way up from leasing to management. I lead my teams to success and received many awards throughout my career. While continuing to work in the property management field, I pursued my dream of becoming a Realtor. I received my license in 2009 and continued to work, eventually transitioning into single home property management, and working with companies such as HomeVestors and American Homes 4 Rent. This has given me expertise in many areas, such as buying, selling, renting, house flipping, managing investment properties, etc. I have been dedicated fulltime to Real Estate since 2011.

Having graduated from La Porte High School and raised in the La Porte /Clear Lake area, I am more than knowledgeable of the Harris and Galveston County market. Furthermore, having worked in the multi family industry, with real estate companies and private investors (such as HomeVestors), I can assist in other areas of purchasing a rental or flip property.

Dana has seen Galveston progress from a sleepy Southern town to a galvanized, energetic city bursting with new development.

Dana says she sells from “Beach to Bay, West End to East End. I am highly enthusiastic about being a Realtor on Galveston Island. Prior to her career in real estate, Dana ran a property management company for five years and became conversant with condominium and townhome owners’ associations. She oversaw the renovation of over 75 units per year and maintained positive relationships of nearly 600 homeowners. She attended association board meetings and annual meetings, helped with elections, and presented power point presentations. Her background also includes court reporting. She feels the legal expertise gleaned from her tenure as a court reporter has been invaluable to her success as a Realtor.

When not working, Dana likes to walk on the beach, enjoying the beautiful Galveston sunrises and wildlife.

Daralyn Johnson was born and raised in Galveston County. This has given her an opportunity to build an extensive network and form close relationships with local businesses and people. She became a licensed real estate agent in 2022.



Understanding my community and the areas I work is one of the most important aspect of my real estate career. Daralyn enjoys showcasing the diverse architecture that Galveston County has to offer from beautifully restored historical homes to the beach houses overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.



Daralyn' s experience hasn't always been in real estate. She has spent 25 years as a Administrative Coordinator for one of the oldest hospitals in Galveston County. She also holds a Notary Signing Agent certificate since 2018. She is member of the APA (Administrative Professionals Association). It is only natural that Daralyn was able to combine her love of Galveston County and the historical homes to develop a successful real estate business.
