Janice is a Master Scuba Diver and has spent many years as an underwater photographer. Polly believes in connecting with her neighbors and community. To that end, she became part of the Fulshear CERT Team (Community Emergency Response Team), and a member of The City of Fulshear Planning Committee. She has assisted with post-flood disaster relief efforts, including coordinating volunteers to provide food to keep others working.

She also helps organize and present varying functions year-round such as the Fulshear Freedom Fest (Fourth of July), St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day, etc. In 2015 she was appointed to the Fulshear Home Rule Charter Commission and became a member of the Cross Creek Ranch Planning Committee.
