Nottingham Forest is located in the Memorial area of Houston, which is west of Downtown. The Memorial area is bounded on the South by Buffalo Bayou, on the North by Interstate 10 (I-10), on the West by Texas State Hwy 6. Nottingham Forest homes were built primarily in the 1960’s in this heavily wooded area with an estimated population of over 30,000 people living in over 12,000 residences. Over 4,000 of these residences include children. The students in Nottingham Forest attend Meadow Wood Elementary, Spring Forest Junior High, and Stratford High. Nottingham Forest is part of the exciting Energy Corridor district which includes residencies and many energy industry-related companies such as BP America, ConocoPhillips, and Shell Oil Company. The Energy Corridor is bordered by over 26,000 acres of urban park area. Two parks adjacent to the district include George Bush Park and Bear Creek Pioneers Park.
Nottingham Forest is home to the beautiful Nottingham Forest Club. Located at 325 Kickerillo Drive, Houston, Texas, 77079, between Kirkwood and Dairy Ashford, and south of Memorial Drive, Nottingham Forest Club is a private club that has available membership for anyone in the surrounding area. The pool and grounds at the Nottingham Forest Club are unique to West Houston. Nottingham Forest Club has four connected pools, including a baby pool, a 20-yard shallow pool with an incredible water park style slide, a 25-yard 6 lane pool and a large deep end, complete with two low diving boards. Nottingham Forest Club’s swim team, the Sharks, are repeat champions in the West Houston Aquatic League. Nottingham Forest Club offers year-round tennis activities including individual instruction and group clinics on five lighted outdoor hard courts. Basketball is also on site on a court designed by Sport Court that has a special flooring that always stays dry.

Most students in the Memorial area primarily attend schools in the Spring Branch Independent School District. Students in the western end of the Memorial area attend Katy ISD schools. Zoned elementary schools in the Memorial area include Meadow Wood, Nottingham, Rummel Creek, Thornwood, and Wilchester.
Major middle schools in Memorial include Memorial Middle School and Spring Forest Middle School. Memorial High School serves the eastern portion of the area, while Stratford High School serves the western portion. Westchester Academy for International Studies is a School District charter magnet school in Spring Branch catering to students in 6th through 12th grade throughout the entire school district.
The area is served by the Town and Country Village area and the mixed-use upscale development area known as CityCentre. Busting with activity it includes numerous restaurants shopping and entertainment. The area is also served by the renovated Memorial City Mall.
The Memorial area also has easy access to many other attractions and services such as medical professional buildings, hospitals, fitness clubs and restuarants.
