Barbara strives to be the ‘best’ at everything she does. She recently earned her EcoBroker license in an attempt to stay current on the topics that are relevant to today’s home buyers and sellers.
“My goal is to help sellers market the increased value of their homes with energy efficiency and environmental features and assist buyers in creating more purchasing power through energy-efficient mortgages and other programs,” says Barbara. “Realtors also come face-to-face with environmental issues, like radon, asbestos, water quality, mold, and other environmental challenges, and my EcoBroker training has given me a better understanding of the liabilities these issues create, how to reduce these liabilities for my clients, and how to keep deals together whenever possible.”
This Toronto native has always thrived on challenges and helping people deal with critical issues and situations. For many years, she worked as a pediatric nurse, specializing in neonatal intensive care. “I worked with premature babies with all kinds of diagnosis, from chromosomal disorders to genetic conditions, but my goal was always the same...to find a way to get each baby home.”
As rewarding as nursing was, Barbara had always wanted to become a Realtor, and when the right time came, she gave it everything she had...and then some and became a Broker.

Melissa’s unique experience makes her an invaluable resource for clients. Prior to obtaining her real estate license in 2002, Melissa was already “in the business”, renovating homes in the Heights, Oak Forest and Montrose and investing with local builders. From the ground up, she learned how to evaluate a house from all aspects – its construction, its potential for short & long term equity, and how to realize that equity through renovation/updating, and probably most importantly, when to say no. Melissa loves helping happy and excited buyers find their dream home, but she also views home buying as a business deal. She approaches a purchase with a “what if” in mind – what if the client is relocated next year? What would resale look like?
People in the Heights know Melissa Kubala. She has become a well-known and respected as a specialist in the area, both as a local-market agent with strong connections in the Heights and as an expert in new construction and renovation.
Melissa finished her degree in Psychology at the University of Houston & went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Sociology. Prior to real estate, Melissa spent several years cooking in some of Houston’s finest restaurants, such as Brennan’s and The Four Seasons, and taught school for many years at a public Heights elementary school.

Sheryl grew up in Memorial with a family in the oil and gas business. She has a strong background in sales and marketing which includes years of selling hardware and software to major oil and gas companies.
Sheryl attended Memorial High School and then studied abroad in Switzerland. Her love of travel and cultures has taken her to many countries, which gives her a unique perspective in assisting clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
She enjoys everything outdoors. Having completed a month of survival training in the Cascades, Sheryl possesses the tenacity to triumph through challenging conditions. This translates into her commitment to finding the perfect fit for her buyers and sellers, along with excellent negotiation and organization skills.
When she is not working with her clients, Sheryl enjoys playing with her beloved Gonzo & Jenny, her Golden Retrievers, traveling, cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends. Sheryl commits a portion of her profits to dog rescues, and is currently working closely with Golden Beginnings Rescue Group.
