PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Hi, my name is Valerie Mooney and I have been in the real estate industry since approximately 1989 where I began my love of real estate starting out with Multi-Family Property Management. While I loved managing and leasing apartment communities from small mid-rise residential up to and including, 13 buildings in two states totaling almost 1500 units, both conventional and Section 42/Section 8. I hit the glass ceiling in this profession at the time and decided I needed a change. So from property management to New Home sales seemed a natural progression. Nothing is more exciting than helping someone purchase a new home, or for that matter a resale home because it is still new to you!! This lasted until the blow out of 2008 where we were forced to relocate and chose Houston as our new home.



In Portland, where we moved here from, I specialized in new home sales, primarily residential and specializing in Townhome and Condominium master planned communities and real estate investment property.



I am my own boutique brokerage now in Texas and my primary focus for my small brokerage, here in Crosby is to build business and make new friends.
I graduated from University of Phoenix in 2015 at 60 years old, felt it was time to complete my ed and received my Bachelors degree in Business with minor in Marketing. This helped me obtain my Brokers license here in Texas and fulfilled a lifetime goal. Better Late than Never!!:)



I have earned several designations over the years including the National Association of Realtors, GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), CSP (Certified New Home Specialist, and the ARM(Accredited Residential Manager) from the Institute of Real Estate Management, Accredited Buyers Representative ABR, and the NHC designation for New Home here in Texas.
