Wayne Long received his first real estate license in 1972. Since that day, many years ago, Wayne has had an extensive career in real estate. He has practiced traditional residential real estate, commercial real estate, residential and commercial property management and oil and gas real estate.

Born in Edinburg, Texas, Wayne graduated from the University of Houston in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

Wayne was a long-time member of the Houston Marathon Committee, serving as the start line chairman from 1982 to 1992, and was race director for the Steamboat Marathon in Steamboat Springs, CO, from 1993 to 1998. Wayne also volunteered as an escort at MD Anderson Cancer Center, escorting new patients to their first appointment.
