About Robert Landram

"Life is not about the destination, but the journey." I don't remember where I read that, but it has certainly been true in my lifetime. When I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1992 with a business degree, I had no idea exactly how my journey would unfold. Looking back, it certainly wasn't what I had planned. The first 5 years I bounced around doing everything from trading mutual funds with Transamerica to helping a computer software company out of Austin go public. It was through these experiences that I realized how much satisfaction I received helping people and companies reach their goals, which eventually led to real estate.

I started my real estate career back in 1997 working for a developer in Central Texas with the responsibility for marketing his golf community to prospective buyers. Seeing clients excitement when they found that "just right" piece of property or sharing in their joy when they moved into their new home is what led me to stay in real estate. From there I moved my family of 6 back to Houston and began working for some of the best builders in the area, including David Weekly Homes and Darling Homes. In 2009, I joined REMAXX and worked as both a listing agent and buyer's agent. As my children grew I realized just how much I was missing and put real estate on the back burner. Knowing how much I enjoyed helping people, teaching seemed a natural fit for me and my family. I began teaching high school economics and have never looked back. Helping shape young people and preparing them for the adult world has been truly satisfying. During these years, I stayed active in real estate by referral of family, friends, and former clients. This helped me to stay active in the industry, while still allowing me to focus on raising my children and building memories before they were gone.

Now, with one child off in college and the other three right behind her, I find myself with more time to devote to real estate and helping other people reach their goals. Combining my strong background in finance and economics with the wealth of knowledge I've gained from buying, selling, and building homes in real estate over the last 32 years, I feel I have much to offer my clients. I enjoy every aspect of helping people reach their goals and educate them along the way. From the research stage to closing, the teacher in me helps facilitate the process.
