Hi - I was wondering if anyone could tell me if Katy Creek Ranch is a good/safe area/neighbourhood. The rental prices seem cheaper here and Im not sure why
Until recently I lived in Cinco Ranch just near Katy Creek Ranch. I have been to that neighborhood and visited with Legend Homes with buyers many times. My own parents are considering a move to that neighborhood themselves. As Veronica said, the schools in that area are very good. You can view their ratings on the Katy ISD website. That neighborhood offers low tax rates, and a very low annual Homeowners Fee compared to Cinco Ranch. These factors make it very attractive to buyers.
Only you can make the decision as to whether a neighborhood is a good fit for you. It is always a good idea to speak to current residents of a neighborhood you are considering a move to. They can be your greatest resource.
I would love to help you if you need a Realtor to help you. One thing you don't want to do is purchase a home without representation of a professional Real Estate Agent. Our commisions are paid by the sellers, so there is no cost to you to obtain our services, just benefits.
Good luck!

I was going to tell you to talk to Veronica! She specializes in the Katy area. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell in that area.
Katy Creek Ranch was built by Legend Homes, and the price range for this subdivision is under $225,000. It is zoned to fantastic schools! Rylander Elem, Cinco Ranch JH and Cinco Ranch HS. Surrounding neighborhoods are priced higher than Katy Creek Ranch. When you can, drive around in this neighborhood in the late afternoons and evenings. You might even be able to talk to some of the residents during your visit and, if so, ask them what they like about the neighborhood.
