Are any Agents getting quality leads from Trulia or Zillow memberships?

I tried it for a month and it seemed like it was a huge waste of my time chasing down leads that ended up not being productive.

I must also agree with the general consensus here. I have paid for trulia and Zillow leads and felt very taken at the end of it all. The first red flag should have been the fact that you can not judge your experience after one month and cancel. If a company is as good as they claim to be, wouldn't they offer complete satisfaction after one month and not hold you to a 6 or 12 month contract? They have their script on why they need a longer commitment. They are salespeople too afterall. The leads were extremely poor quality as also mentioned above. I will summarize with this.. A smart person learns from their mistakes, a wise person learns from the mistakes of others.

Zillow is a real waste of money....They will tell you that they are selling 25% of market share to you but than they will tell the same story to rest of the agents and when its all said and done, you may be getting 10% of market share on impressions but getting charged for 25%....Most of the leads that come through either have no credit, no job OR there is no way to get them qualified and are very difficult to get them to work out. Zillow used to be better about a Year ago when their program was new...as more agent's have started to sign-up with them, Zillow's quality has gone down significantly and I should know because I have been in a 12 Month contract with them. Every time you complain to your account manager, they just try to sell you more impression....the guy doesn't even get a hint that they are selling nothing but just impression and impressions do not generate business unless they are very specific and have regular frequency of popping up on different websites. Don't waste your money on the internet leads.

I think with any internet lead source you get the bad with the good. I have never paid Trulia but have done and still do both Zillow and Realtor leads. I have found that if I am very good with my follow up that a high percentage of them convert but the average conversion time is 16 months. I agree with Karen that on Zillow leads I tend to get a lot of people looking outside of my target zip codes for some reason though....

Most of my leads from Zillow have been the lowest end of the market (I've used them in 3 different zip codes). In an area where I know the zip code average priced homes are around $180K+ all I get are the condos that are under 70. I don't mind helping clients in this price point but for what I pay I need some good leads and none have panned out. I also keep getting random leads in areas I don't even service. The best leads I have gotten were off my own listings. The others have been junk. Bad personal experience with Trulia and homes.com as well. I have had good experience with Realtor.com. I am letting my other paid leads lapse and only keeping Realtor.com. Hope that helps
