I would check with Realtors & Mortgage companies in your area. As the other agents have pointed out, many of them hold workshops regularly. Open houses are also a good way to meet agents in the area you'd like to purchase in. Lastly, many of the city's programs for first time home buyers offer classes associated with them. Check out Avenue CDC, the Harris County Downpayment Assistance Program, the SETH program, and the Harris County H.O.M.E program. These are always good resources since they are held by a third party with little to no sales pressure. Good luck on your home buying journey! V

I'm holding Katy Home Buyer-Seller Seminars quarterly. Confirmed dates are May 2, August 15, and November 21. We will know next week if our venue has March 21 open for our event.
Our seminars will feature a panel of experts for each aspect of the home buying and home selling process, and our experts will address the recent changes in regulations that affect consumers' ability to buy and sell real estate. We will feature experts in mortgage finance, banking, credit repair, insurance, title, contract negotiations, and home inspection.
Seminars will be held at the Brazos Valley FCU building at 25525 Katy Mills Parkway 10:30am-12:30pm.
These quarterly Katy area seminars will be advertised online through a newly created website, on social media sites, and through local publications and their website's calendar of events.
