About HAR MLS

The Houston Association of Realtors® Multiple Listing Service provides Realtors with the most important tool necessary to compete in today’s real estate market. The MLS gives agents the ability to access current information on more than 50,000 properties currently on the market, archived information on hundreds of thousands of properties sold during the past seven years, and current public records information for Harris and surrounding counties.

The Web based TEMPO MLS allows agents to search properties from any computer connected to the Internet, e-mail property listings to clients, create and e-mail Comparative Market Analysis reports, and even set up automatic-notification routines to inform clients about new listings that meet their needs. Realtors also may upload multiple property photos, virtual tours and PDF documents to their own listings in the MLS system.

WyldFyre 6.0 is another MLS-interface option available to members allowing them to download MLS listings to a computer or laptop for off-line searches - all for free! This robust desktop product gives Realtors the ability to search property listings, design and create custom reports and flyers, and e-mail listings. HAR holds hands-on training classes for both TEMPO and WyldFyre.

The HAR Multiple Listing Service also markets your listings to consumers by transmitting your listings to HAR.com, Realtor.com and Homes.com daily. With more than 500,000 visitors each month, these Web sites provide valuable exposure to your listings. Included with your MLS subscription is a free Member Web site that allows agent to display all MLS listings to consumers.

To help its members access listed property, HAR has contracted with GE Supra to provide a state of the art “point and beam” electronic lockbox system that allows agents to quickly and easily access property. The system is compatible with a number of smart phones and Palm PDA devices and also allows listing agents to view who has shown the property.
