Matt Matthews, Senator Hutchison's Austin campaign manager, as well as Jason Fuller,
Regional Director, will be our special guests at the June 19 Board of Directors meeting. We will also be joined by

City of Houston
Affordable Housing Task Force, Michael Levitin - Since its inception in April, the Affordable Housing Task Force,
chaired by Michael Levitin, has held three roundtable discussions with Steve Tinnermon, Special Assistant to the
Mayor for Neighborhoods. Realtors, builders, community development corporations, real estate consultants, lenders,
and bankers have been invited to participate to develop a dialogue among the stakeholders in the Land Assemblage
Redevelopment Authority. Meetings were held on May 5, May 25, and June 14. A fourth meeting is planned for June 21
from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the HAR Board Room. An update will be given at the August 14 Board of Directors meeting.
Meeting agendas and notes are available on our Web site here: http://www.har.com/govtaffairs/default.cfm?pid=261.
Flooding and Drainage, Ray Holtzapple and Minnette Boesel - Last year, Councilmember Ada Edwards invited HAR to participate
in the Stakeholders Advisory Group concerning flooding and drainage issues and revisions to the floodplain ordinance.
Ray Holtzapple has represented HAR on the SAG. You may see HAR's May 31, 2006 letter and comments here:

Graffiti Ordinance, Minnette Boesel - HAR members participated in a stakeholders meeting of the draft Graffiti Ordinance with
Councilman Garcia in February. Councilman Garcia presented the draft Graffiti Ordinance at the March Board of Directors meeting.
The Board expressed concerns about and again in May. Since that time several revisions have been made. The June 14 Houston Chronicle
carried an article, "City's idea: Clean graffiti or pay for it" storied on the proposed changes. Councilman Garcia has again asked
for HAR's endorsement of the Graffiti Ordinance.
Political Affairs NAR mailed RPAC contributions to Federal Political Coordinators: George Stephens (U. S. Senator
Kay Bailey Hutchison), Delora Wilkinson (Congressman Ted Poe), John Nichols (Congressman John Culberson), Vicki Fullerton

TREPAC
HAR breaks all records with First Ever TREPAC Platinum R Offices
HAR breaks all sorts of TREPAC records due to the generosity and tenacity of our HAR and TREPAC leadership. Richard
Filip of RE/MAX of Texas and Mark Willis with Keller Williams Realty are the first to pledge to be $10,000 Platinum R offices.
Both pledges were made during the beginning of the year at installation and the details have been finalized at both
the state and local levels so that representatives from both companies will be present at this month's Board of Director's
meeting to make presentations. Please help me in expressing our thanks for the support these two companies have shown both
TREPAC and the real estate industry this year.
