Thank you for your interest in volunteering for HAR's Advisory Groups. The deadline has passed to sign up for the 2013, Advisory Groups, but we hope you will consider volunteering for next year's groups when applications are available beginning in October 2013. Advisory Group Descriptions & Responsibilities
Bay Area Advisory Group:
Work closely with the HAR Board of Directors, the GAAG, and PAAG by providing input and recommendations on issues that affect their respective areas. They also are involved with candidate recommendations and Get Out the Realtor® Vote efforts. In addition, they are charged with TREPAC fundraising efforts. The advisory group will mobilize members.
Troy Cothran Chair
Communications Advisory Group:
The Communications Advisory Group enhances the strategic efforts of the HAR Communications Department by ensuring HAR communications products and programs are responsive to member needs and promote and support the value of using a Realtor®.
Diana Ayers Chair
Fort Bend Advisory Group:
The duties of this advisory group shall be to interview candidates and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding endorsements and contributions. The advisory group will mobilize members.
Susan Friedman Chair
Governmental Affairs Advisory Group:
This advisory group shall maintain an awareness of all matters bearing upon the real estate industry or having impact upon the ownership of private property and suggest appropriate positions and measures.
Vicki Fullerton Chair
Information Advisory Group:
This group reviews possible applications of HRIS/MLS data sets and formulates recommendations for the HAR and HRIS Board.
Cindy Hamann Chair
International Advisory Group:
The International Advisory Group coordinates association activities such as educational programs and networking business opportunities that relate to the international real estate industry. The advisory group also promotes visibility of MLS Area 82 where hundreds of international properties are listed.
Edna Corona Chair
Management Central Advisory Group:
Management Central is a division of HAR geared specifically towards the Real Estate Manager and Broker/Owner. Management Central offers at least two educational events a year and provides an online newsletter distributed every other month. The goal of Management Central is to provide Managers and Brokers with the latest tools to help them further their business through education and networking opportunities.
Ed Gonzales Chair
MLS Advisory Group:
The MLS Advisory Group helps establish and maintain MLS policy that is in the best interest of HAR’s nearly 24,000 members. In addition to maintaining MLS policy, the MLS Advisory Group also reviews member suggestions and recommends MLS system changes and enhancements that help make all MLS subscribers more professional and efficient.

Montgomery County Advisory Group:
The duties of this advisory group shall be to interview candidates and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding endorsements and contributions. The advisory group will mobilize members.
Barbara Shrader Chair
NRG...NextGen REALTOR Advisory Group:
As the voice and advocate for HAR’s young professionals…NRG develops young real estate professionals through association involvement, career advancement and commitment to the community.
Randall Martin Chair
Political Affairs Advisory Group:
The duties of this advisory group shall be to interview candidates and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding endorsements and contributions. The advisory group will mobilize members.
Nancy Furst Chair
Professional Development Advisory Group:
The Professional Development Advisory Group is made up of members who review existing educational programs and recommend new training programs.
Lois Malone Chair
Professional Standards Committee:
TAR administers HAR Professional Standards, ethics and arbitration hearings held at HAR. HAR members who wish to participate in Professional Standards may sign up to serve on the TAR Professional Standards Committee (requires one year experience on a local professional standards committee). All members must, prior to service on a hearing panel or grievance tribunal, have had TAR Training, which may be met by attending a local association session sponsored by TAR.
Risk Management Advisory Group:
The Risk Management Advisory group addresses those areas in both residential and commercial real estate in which non-compliance issues present risk to our membership and to alert the membership as to their existence in an effort to resolve or minimize the risk.
Seita Jongebloed Chair
Technology Advisory Group:
HAR’s Technology Advisory Group assess and implement existing and new technologies to establish the course for HAR.com and the products and services provided to our members.
Robert Cook Chair
The BIG e Advisory Group:
This advisory group shall facilitate the association’s largest annual one day member conference which includes hands on technology demonstrations and educational sessions designed to help members increase their real estate market knowledge and productivity.
Chaille Ralph Chair
TREPAC Advisory Group:
This advisory group shall assist in organizing, hosting, and participating in TREPAC fundraising efforts throughout HAR’s membership. Members serve as TREPAC liaisons educating members on the importance of investing in their industry as well as informing members of the legislative issues facing members and the real estate industry.

Area Networking Groups
