Short Sales & Foreclosures: What Real Estate Professional Need to Know

For many real estate professionals, short sales and foreclosures are the new “traditional” real estate transaction. Knowing how to help sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities are not merely good skills to have in today’s market—they are critical. And while short sales and foreclosures are not for the faint of heart, agents with the proper tools and training can use these specialty areas to build their business for the long term.The SFR certification program is offered by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council of NAR. The program includes training on how to manage short-sale, foreclosure, and real-estate owned transactions, and provides resources to help Realtors® stay current on national and state-specific information as the market for these distressed properties evolves.To earn the certification, Realtors® must complete a one-day education program, as well as three one-hour Webinars. * This class will be taught at our main office while held by video conference at our Woodlands, Clear Lake and Fort Bend offices.
