HOUSTON – (May 26, 2017) – The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) Board of Directors has announced its decision to continue its support for John “JR” Moon for Mayor of Pasadena in the Saturday, June 10 Pasadena mayoral runoff Election. HAR Bay Area Political Affairs Advisory Leadership Chair Misty Bacon commended fellow Realtor John Moon for reaching the runoff election in a crowded field of seven candidates.  “We are pleased voters have a second chance to elect John “JR” Moon on Saturday, June 10," said Bacon. "Pasadena voters will once again have the opportunity to elect a new mayor.  We encourage our members to choose John “JR” Moon. As an HAR member and fellow Realtor, John’s experience and commitment will help strengthen and unite the Pasadena community. He will bring a fresh perspective and vision to address the concerns of the various communities and move Pasadena forward.”

Mr. Moon is a product of Pasadena, and has served as a Trustee for San Jacinto College as well as being a member of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, Pasadena Rodeo, and Pasadena Rotary and many other community organizations.

Houston Realtors are involved in the political process at all levels of government promoting policies and supporting candidates who advocate for property rights and home ownership in the city of Pasadena. Electing public officials who understand property owners’ concerns and act accordingly is the Association’s top priority.

Early voting begins on Tuesday, May 30 and runs through Tuesday, June 6. Election Day is Saturday, June 10.
