Have you heard of The Thread Alliance? It is a non-profit organization that raises money to work toward ending the cycle of child abuse. During the month of April - which is also Child Abuse Prevention month - there are 30 restaurants participating in this. Each restaurant has a "Blue Plate Special" and proceeds from these sales witll go to The Thread Alliance. You can find the list of restaurants by following the below web address from Culture Map Houston. Check it out and help this organization put a stop to the cycle of child abuse.
