Heights Street Names

Did you know?   Most north/south streets in the Heights were named after well known universities and colleges. For instance, Courtland College, a public institution now part of the SUNY system, was founded in 1868.  Ashland University, a private, liberal arts institution in Ohio, was founded as Ashland College in 1878. Oxford, Columbia and Harvard are self explanatory!
