Annual Salary To Buy A Median-Priced Home In Houston

Good afternoon everyone! The city of Houston’s housing market is at a pivotal stance right now. Median-priced homes in the market have risen about $2000, on average, from last year to this year, possibly indicating the economic well-being of the city is getting stronger. According to Culture Map Houston, “the annual income needed now to comfortably sign on the dotted line is $52,274.68, compared to last year's $49,983.37.” With this amount of annual income, it is estimated you can afford a $217,400 home with reasonable monthly payments. Although the annual salary may seem like a lot, don't be so overwhelmed by the numbers. Plenty of great homes are listed in the market that are way less than half of the price listed above. So don't be discouraged, great homes are still available at a reasonable price.
