Beating the heat
We all find different ways to beat or mitigate against the Houston sun and the heat, but this one I would have thought was not to be recommended. Or so you’d have thunk ...
The cop sitting in his patrol car behind me who saw me lean over (rather exaggeratedly, to try to direct his attention) in order to take this picture (at traffic lights I hasten to add) seemed to think nothing of it.
One good thing about these high temperatures though that I’m sure you’ll be happy to hear is that chiggers, the subject of last week’s missive [“gross" was one of the more favourable responses I elicited] are not active above 99F - so if you did fancy going walkabout outside any time soon, you’ll at least be safe from them - just keep an eye out for blinkered drivers.
