Glenbrook Home Tour a Great Success

On October 9th Glenbrook Valley was the site of the "Mad about Mod" Home tour conducted by local preservation group Houston Mod.  It was held in conjunction with international architecture group DOCOMOMO's world architecture tour day.  DOCOMOMO stands for DOcumentation & COservation of the MOdern MOvement.  They have chapters in 54 countries. 

6 Glenbrook Valley homeowners graciously opened up their well-appointed modern homes for the tour.  Tickets were $15.  Initially Houston Mod anticipated a small group of no more than 50 people.  Closer to 250 turned out! 

I would like to personally thank the volunteers from Houston Mod, those that volunteered for docent duties, and of course the homeowners that rushed to get their homes ready for the tour.    All of you made the tour a smashing success!
