Cherry brings a unique and diverse background to real estate. She specializes in older homes and has bought and renovated 3 such "gems". Throughout the 80s she owned and operated her own carpentry business and was a public radio programmer for 10 years on Pacifica Radio's KPFT in Houston. She has also worked for a decade as an occupational therapist helping people live more independent and productive lives. Cherry manages several of her own rental properties and believes that real estate is an excellent avenue for diversity in one's portfolio. She is a resident of Garden Oaks and has been active in her Civic Club, her church and the TPG (The Professional Group).

In September of 2009, Cherry made the decision to join the Keller Williams Organization.
