About Bobbye Joyner-Mills

Bobbye Mills is a native of Monroe Louisiana, a graduate of Southern University at Baton Rouge, La where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration in real estate. Mrs. Mills worked for Exxon Company USA for 13 years before leaving to start her own business in 1992. Bobbye became a licensed agent in 1990 and a broker in 1991 with Summit Properties_BJMills where she has served as the broker of record for the past 29 years. She supervises 5 independent contractors and 1 staff person. Mills earned a Master of Architecture Degree in Community Development in May 2012, she has served as a housing consultant and Project Manager for the Houston Area Urban Community Development (HAUCDC). Under her leadership, HAUCDC now owns or controls more than 332 units in 3 years, built more than 24 units of new c, and continues to work in the construction industry. Bobbye Mills has served as local board president of the National Association of Real Estate Broker Houston Chapter, Regional Vice President of NAREB Region XII, served on the Board of Directors for NAREB, Chair of the board of directors for local chapter.
