Dick Hargis is a partner of Hargis & Harpold, L.L.P., A Houston law firm which concentrates its practice in real estate, commercial law, and civil litigation.

Dick is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (B.A., Government, 1973) and received his law degree in 1980 from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He is a member of the state bar of Texas, Virginia State Bar, Houston Bar Association, Houston bar foundation - fellow, and college of the state bar of Texas.

For the past twenty years, Dick has concentrated his practice in real estate, having represented principals and brokers in real estate transactions and related litigation throughout Texas. He has served as legal counsel of the Houston Association of Realtors since 1988. Dick=s additional practice areas of concentration include business and commercial transactions and employment law. In 2003, Dick obtained certification as a mediator and provides mediation and dispute resolution services as part of his law practice.
