The International Council is a service of the Houston Association of Realtors. Members pay no additional dues to belong and may attend informational seminars, educational courses. (such as the
Certified International Property Specialist designation) and networking events. The HAR's International Council's mission is "To help our HAR members increase their knowledge and activity

Houston is a member of Sister Cities International, a nonprofit citizen diplomacy network that creates and strengthens partnerships between U.S. and international communities. It is designed to build global cooperation at the municipal level, promote cultural understanding and stimulate economic development.
