Spanning 2.1 square miles, Piney Point Village lies between Hunters Creek Village to the east, Hedwig Village to the north, and Bunker Hill to the west.  Along its south border are Houston and the Buffalo Bayou.

Fun Activities To Do Near Piney Point Village Houston

Due to strict deed restrictions that do not allow commercial establishments within its borders, Piney Point is primarily a residential village. 

It is common to see commercial establishments built just outside the borders of Piney Point Village.

One large shopping destination at I-10, The Memorial City Mall, is just several minutes away from the city. The mall, built in 1962, has anchor stores that include Target, Dillard’s, Macy’s JCPenney, and Sears.

Another shopping go-to is the pedestrian-friendly CityCentre at the intersection of Beltway 8 and I-10 is just a short drive away.

Piney Point is also near some luxurious amenities from members-only country clubs such as Houston Country Club and Lakeside Country Club.

Tennis enthusiasts can enjoy a game or two at the Houston Racquet Club at the neighboring Hunters Creek.

Piney Point is under two main ISDs, with homes located at the north of Buffalo Bayou under the Spring Branch ISD (SPISD).  Homes located the south portion of Buffalo Bayou are under the Houston ISD.

Piney Point is home to three schools:  Spring Branch ISD’s Memorial Drive Elementary School and two private schools – Saint Francis Episcopal Day School and The Kinkaid School.

Piney point homes have an impressive real estate performance, with its 2005 median sales price of $1,346,500 jumping to as much as $2,797,500 in just a span of ten years.

Striking property price increases made Piney Point Village among the most expensive suburbs in all of Texas.

Most of Piney Point homes for sale are single family homes that feature impressive master’s bedroom with walk-in closets, high ceilings, air-conditioned wine rooms, multiple car garages, summer kitchens, and porte cochéres built on spacious grounds.

Piney Point boasts of grandiose and wooded lots that range from half-acre to 70,000 square feet.  Bigger properties have lots that are over 160,000 square feet.

Floor plans also vary, with some having 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and 2 half baths on living space that can range from 4,000 to as much as 12,000 square feet.

Prices of Piney Point single family homes depend on a number of factors, such as lot size, age of home, and location.  Older and smaller homes can go for less than $1.5 million, whereas newly constructed custom-built properties can sell as much as $6 million.

Piney Point’s deed restrictions do not permit construction of townhomes and condominiums within its premises.
