Selling your home, moving, settling in to a new home...there are so many things to remember and do. Here is a list of resources from the City of Houston to help you get settled. It includes information on how to register to vote, public and private schools, tax information, and contact information to utility companies. Additionally, Greater Houston Partnership has similar information including pet licensing, liquor laws, auto registration. In Texas you can choose your electricity provider and it's smart to shop around for the best rate, which you can do here. Of course your realtor can provide you information specific to your neighborhood and surrounding area.
