I lived in Houston most of my life. Four years away in boarding schools, and six years in the Air Force, but my home has always been Houston,Tx. That being said, I did not realize that there was a lake as big as Lake Houston until about five years ago, so close and so nice. Camping, fishing, and water sports, like tubing and wake boarding.

There are several places to put a boat in the water. Lake Houston Marina, Deussen Park, San Jacinto Park.

If your looking at doing something fun with the family, check out the Lake Houston, Huffman, Humble, Atascocita, area.

Check out this web page for more info. https://www.lakehouston.org
