About Jaye Tullai

I believe in maximizing each transaction for my client.
Anything less would be wasted opportunity.
I will bring knowledge of the market and the process to make the most of your transaction.

Jaye's Practice:

Although I have matched clients to homes from Eado all the way out to the Brazos River, the largest part of my practice is in Montrose and the neighborhoods around Rice University. My clients have ranged from first timers to seasoned investors, and from the beginning of my career I have made a specialty of working with relocating medical professionals.

My background is in renovation for optimizing value. The bungalows & other vintage houses of the inner loop are very close to my heart. I am an enthusiastic landlord, and my experience with my own investment properties has given me a multi-faceted view of the market. I have served in several positions on my community associations, and currently sit on the Deed Restriction Committee of Mandell Place Civic Assoc.

Recent Career Milestones:

A decade ago I moved my practice from a tall building firm to Boulevard Realty-- a great fit. Boulevard is big enough to provide top-level service but nimble enough to adapt to the fast changing market.

I was named a Texas Monthly Magazine’s Five Star Real Estate Agent again this year. I am proudest of this recognition because it is based solely on customer satisfaction.

Past Lives:

Jaye moved to Houston from St Thomas, Virgin Islands. Her professional life there also involved transaction— founding Southern Trades Yacht & Ship, which was the largest yacht brokerage in the Caribbean when she sold it to move to Houston in 1997. “I had met my late husband, Houston attorney Charley Herndon, in the Caribbean, and after our 16 years there he wanted to move back to Texas. His former neighborhood, Montrose, was where we wanted to be, but I had to figure out an alternative to the excitement of the yachting world. For me, inner loop real estate has held that excitement. Just as I worked my way up to brokering yachts via the most hands-on way possible—as a professional yacht captain- my introduction to Houston real estate started with a dozen renovations in Montrose, the Heights, and other close in neighborhoods.

A different life, but some things remain the same- In real estate now as in the yachting world back then, I believe in coming by my experience honestly and offering absolutely meticulous service.”
